A co-passenger recorded a video of Dhoni as he was placing his cabin bag in the overhead compartment, and the footage has quickly gone viral across social media platforms.

Following the suspension of IPL 2025, team contingents from all franchises are gearing up to return to their respective bases. The week-long suspension was announced during the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match in Dharamsala, after drone strikes originating from Pakistan led to a floodlight outage at the venue. The stadium was swiftly evacuated, and rising border tensions between the two nations prompted the BCCI to halt the tournament as a safety precaution.

According to the reports, BCCI intends to resume the IPL within a week, but an official decision from the government is still awaited.

Meanwhile, the five-time champions have been eliminated from the IPL 2025 playoff race, having secured just three victories in their 12 matches so far. With original skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad ruled out mid-season, Dhoni had to step in and lead the team once again.

Despite their exit, the Super Kings will look to end their campaign on a high by securing wins in their final two fixtures.
