Are Jennifer Aniston and Barack Obama dating rumours true? Actress says 'It's absolutely...'

Send Push
Jennifer Aniston, known for her candid humor, took to the stage on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to address some wild tabloid rumors, including one that she was secretly dating former President Barack Obama. With a laugh, the 'Friends' star set the record straight, brushing off the claim with her trademark wit.

Jennifer Aniston Laughs Off Rumors

During the appearance, Kimmel showed Aniston a tabloid magazine cover that boldly suggested a romantic connection between her and Obama, with headlines like "The Truth About Jen & Barack" and a scandalous note that Michelle Obama was "betrayed" by the alleged affair. Responding to the rumors, Aniston joked, “Of all the calls you get from your publicist, you're like, 'Oh no, what's it gonna be?' And then it's that.” She continued with a smile, “I was not mad at it.”

Aniston, however, made it clear that the rumors were entirely fabricated. “It’s absolutely untrue,” she stated, adding, “I’ve met him once. I know Michelle more than him.” Kimmel, always ready with a quip, then asked if there was any truth to a possible connection between her and Michelle Obama instead, to which Aniston laughed and denied as well.

Coincidentally, Aniston's appearance came just a day before the Obamas’ 32nd wedding anniversary on October 3. The former president often shares heartfelt posts about his wife, and last year was no different, with Barack writing, “You’re brilliant, kind, funny, and beautiful — and I’m lucky to call you mine.”

Debunking Other Viral Rumors

Despite the light-hearted conversation, Aniston also addressed other amusing rumors that have circulated about her. She confirmed that she once tried a salmon sperm facial, humorously adding, “Don’t I look like a salmon? Don’t I have beautiful salmon skin?” The actress also shared some quirky personal stories, including the fact that she has traveled internationally with jars of olives and carries a Ziploc bag containing her late therapist’s ashes. “It’s a long story,” she laughed, acknowledging the oddity of the situation.

Aniston has long dealt with the tabloid fascination surrounding her personal life. From her high-profile marriages to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux to her thoughts on future relationships, the actress has remained a topic of media speculation. In a 2022 interview, she expressed openness to dating again but admitted she wasn’t interested in remarrying. “Never say never, but I don’t have any interest,” she said at the time.

Reflecting on her early experiences with media attention, Aniston admitted she once felt the need to correct the false stories. “I used to be hell-bent on saying, 'That’s not true, that’s not fair,’” she shared. Over time, however, she learned to let it go. “Now, I just let it roll off my back. I think everyone knows it’s all B.S.”

Childhood Memories and Family Traditions

In addition to her personal life, Aniston touched on her childhood and family traditions, recalling a unique holiday ritual. When asked about her family’s Christmas Eve gatherings, she revealed that they would make her belly dance for relatives. “Anytime, not just Christmas Eve,” she laughed, explaining how her Greek family loved watching her perform at family dinners. “It gave me such anxiety,” she confessed, noting the lasting impact of being put on the spot as a child.
