These 86 stocks set to trade ex-dividend from Friday

National Aluminium Company, along with 86 other companies, is expected to be in focus today, as they have set September 20 as the record date for determining shareholders eligible for dividend payments.

This means today is the last day to buy shares of these companies in order to qualify for the dividends they have announced, as dividends are paid to shareholders listed in the company’s records on the record date.

To be eligible for the dividends, shares must be purchased at least one day before the ex-date, as transactions settle the next day. Investors who purchase shares on the ex-date do not qualify for dividends.
