Darbhanga (Bihar) [India], November 4 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday slammed RJD for complaining to the Election Commission about the timing of a fund transfer of Rs 10,000 to Jeevika Didis.
Addressing a massive crowd of enthusiastic supporters in Darbhanga, with his characteristic fervour, he began to speak, "Recently, Modi ji and Nitish Kumar ji have transferred over Rs 1 crore (Rs 10,000 each) into the bank accounts of Jeevika Didis. But what's shocking is that the RJD has written to the Election Commission to take back this amount from them."
Amit Shah continued, "I want to tell Jeevika Didis that forget Lalu and Tejashwi, even if their past three generations come, they would not be able to take this Rs 10,000 from them."
The NDA government (both central and state) initiated the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana (Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme), under which ₹10,000 was transferred into the bank accounts of over one crore "Jeevika Didis" (women associated with Self-Help Groups under the Jeevika program) to help them start self-employment ventures.
Amit Shah's words were laced with conviction as he targeted the opposition. "Lalu and Rabri want to make their son the CM, and Sonia Gandhi wants to make her son the Prime Minister. I want to tell them that neither Lalu ji's son will become CM nor Sonia Gandhi's son will become the PM. There is no vacancy for these people."
The Home Minister then outlined the NDA's vision for Bihar's development. "We will construct Kaushal Vikas Kendras in every district in the state. Every district will get a new factory, and 10 new industrial parks will be constructed in the state. Like UP and Tamil Nadu, we will establish a defence corridor in Bihar."
Speaking about proposed development projects in Bihar's Darbhanga, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "A majestic Sita Mata Temple worth Rs 850 crore is being built in Punaura Dham. As soon as the temple construction is completed, we will connect Ayodhya and Sitamarhi by Vande Bharat trains...."
The crowd was electrified as Amit Shah appealed to the voters. "When you press the 'Lotus' symbol, it should not be to elect an MLA, but to stop 'jungle raj'. Do you want to bring back the 15 years of 'jungle raj' seen during Lalu and Rabri's tenures in Bihar?"
Union Home Minister Amit Shah added, "Lalu and Rabri did not do any work for the development of Bihar..Now, no one will need to travel to Delhi or Patna for AIIMS; people will receive treatment at Darbhanga AIIMS."
The crowd's energy was palpable as Amit Shah spoke about the Pahalgam terror attack. "Goli ka jawaab gole se diya jaayega," he declared, emphasising the government's stance on national security.
He also launched a scathing attack on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, alleging that he was trying to protect infiltrators in the country.
Addressing a rally in Darbhanga, Shah referred to the Congress' "Voter Adhikar Yatra" as the "Ghuspaithiya Bachao Yatra" (Save the Infiltrators March).
The Voter Adhikar Yatra was carried out by the Mahagathbandhan parties in Bihar earlier this year, opposing the Special Intensive Revision and supporting Rahul Gandhi's "vote chori" allegations on the Election Commission.
"2.5 months ago, Rahul Baba came here and took out a journey, which was the Ghuspaithiya Bachao Yatra. Lalu and Rahul want to save the infiltrators. No matter how many journeys they take out, we will selectively remove the infiltrators from the country," Amit Shah said.
Taking a jibe at Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, Shah said that he had done a lot for Bihar, referring to the scams under his regime. The Union Home Minister also alleged that Congress was involved in scams worth 12 lakh crores.
He also hailed the Centre and the Bihar government, noting that not a single allegation of scam has been made against CM Nitish Kumar and PM Narendra Modi.
"Lalu ji has also done quite a lot. He was involved in the fodder scam, land-for-job scam, hotel-selling scam, bituminous scam, flood-relief scam, recruitment scam, and AB Exports scam. Lalu-Rabri did so many scams and Congress has done scams worth 12 lakh crore. Can these people do good for Bihar? Modi ji has ruled for 11 years and Nitish Babu has ruled for 20 years. There is not even a 4 anna allegation of corruption against Nitish Babu and Modi ji," Shah added.
The election campaign in Bihar has intensified as campaigning ahead of the first phase of polling comes to a halt on Tuesday evening.
Bihar will go to the polls on November 6 and 11, and the results will be declared on November 14. (ANI)
