New Delhi [India], September 22 (ANI): BJP Lok Sabha member Sanjay Jaiswal levelled serious allegations against Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor, accusing him of raising crores of rupees through shell companies.
Speaking to reporters in Bettiah, Jaiswal questioned the source and handling of funds allegedly received by Kishor.
These allegations come ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections later this year. Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj is set to contest independently of the ruling NDA alliance and the Opposition's Mahagathbandhan led by RJD and Congress.
"He himself has said that Ayodhya Rami Reddy gave him Rs 14 crores. But he did not say why that money was not deposited in the account of the Jan Suraaj Party... Why do companies that run at a loss give crores of rupees only to Prashant Kishor? Just like every villager knew the word 'scam' during the Congress regime (in Centre), similarly, everyone will know what round-tripping is Prashant Kishor ..."
The remarks came in response to an allegation levelled by Prashant Kishor against Sanjay Jaiswal in connection with a petrol in Bettiah.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Sunday condemned alleged abusive remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late mother at a rally in Bihar, and accused opposition leaders of resorting to crude tactics to grab headlines.
In an interview with reporters, Manjhi stated that when someone is "distressed", they turn to such "dirty" words and acts, which are extremely "condemnable". "The person who becomes distressed resorts to dirty words and dirty acts in any way. They are resorting to such things, which are extremely condemnable and insulting, to grab headlines," Manjhi said.
He further said that the voters of Bihar should watch these actions very closely and give a befitting reply in the elections. Earlier, Union Minister Giriraj Singh slammed the RJD over alleged abusive remarks made against PM Modi's late mother.
He accused the RJD of insulting the pride of Bihar and warned that the incident reflects the kind of governance seen under Lalu Yadav in 2005.
"It didn't seem strange to me that such a thing happened from Tejashwi Yadav's platform because there is no difference between Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav... They have made a very big mistake by using indecent language for the Prime Minister's mother, insulting the pride of Bihar, and showing Lalu Yadav's government of 2005 that if by mistake their government comes to power this time, this is what will happen... Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi should apologise for this; otherwise, the people of Bihar will definitely punish them for it," he said. (ANI)
