Strictly Come Dancing fans were quick to support Pete Wicks on Sunday night's results show as he made an emotional admission.
On Saturday night, Pete, 36, and his professional dance partner Jowita Przystal came bottom of the leaderboard with 22 points after their Salsa to Another One Bites The Dust.
When the routine was over, the duo could be seen hugging as Pete, who was dressed as in homage to the singer, repeatedly said "sorry" while the dancer could be heard trying to reassure him.
After the judges' comments, where they pointed out some mistakes, Pete spoke to host Claudia Winkleman about his Queen performance, and said: "It was an definitely an honour, I think it's an ironic song for me tonight, another one bites the dust."
However, despite the routine not going to plan, Pete and Jowita were saved by the public on Sunday's results show. Talking to Claudia after the results were revealed, Pete had an emotional admission.
He said: "I can't believe I'm still here and part of me feels like I probably don't deserve to be here!" to which Claudia argued: "No, no, no, no!" Pete continued: "Thank you, genuinely, thank you everyone. I am so happy to still be here!"
Taking to , now X, viewers were quick to share their support to Pete as one person said: "Pete is such a sweetheart thinking that he doesn't deserve to stay on the show. He absolutely does. #Strictly", a different account wrote: "I don't deserve to be here. Ohhh Pete you are popular and your personality shines through your dancing #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly" with crying emojis while another added: "You can tell that Pete loves this show now #Strictly."
It comes as professional dancer Lauren Oakley, who currently does not have a celebrity pairing on this year's series of the One dance competition, stepped in to dance with JLS star JB Gill on Saturday night after his partner Amy Dowden fell ill during filming last weekend.
Amy, 34, is said to be "doing much better" after a health scare forced her to miss last Sunday's results programme after being taken to hospital and she skipped this week of the competition. The dancer appeared in the studio on Saturday night to support JB and Lauren.
Last Monday, a Strictly spokesperson said: "Amy Dowden MBE is doing much better and the Strictly family send her love and wish her well.
"She is delighted that fellow professional dancer Lauren Oakley is able to step in for rehearsals and to perform in Saturday's show for JB Gill's couple's choice dance. We are all hopeful that Amy will be back to dance with JB next week."
Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
