One Direction drummer Josh Devine says Liam Payne 'changed his life' in emotional message

One Direction's has shared a further tribute to Liam Payne following the tragic death of the boyband star.

The musician spent years touring with the group throughout their success alongside fellow band members Sandy Beales was on bass and Dan Richards who played guitar. Josh toured with travelling and playing some of the most iconic venues in the on a string of sold-out dates to adoring fans.

Sharing his heartbreak Josh posted a picture of himself smiling alongside Liam as he wrote: "Where to start. I’m gonna keep this short because there’s so much to say yet I can’t find the right words to say it. Liam, Since day one, you have been such a kind and welcoming friend to me. Incredibly talented, positive, and always striving to give your best, even when you didn’t feel it.

"So many random memories have popped into my head these last 24 hours, from countless funny moments on stage, to normal life outside of work. No matter the situation, you always made me feel equal and always had my back. Thank you for being my friend, and thank you for being the best boss I could ever have had."

Josh then credited Liam and his bandmates Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik for changing his life. He continued: "I owe my career to you, Louis, Niall, Harry and Zayn. I wouldn’t be where I am in life right now if it wasn’t for you guys. You changed my life for the better and I will forever be grateful.

"My heart goes out to Liam's lovely family, Bear, his friends, the 1D lads, the 1D family and all who loved this man around the world. Rest well old friend, it’s not goodbye.. it’s see you soon. Love you Payno. X'

Liam tragically passed away on Wednesday . Both fans and his fellow celebrities, as well as and friends and family of Liam, have publicly admitted their devastation over the loss since he died.

Investigations into the exact circumstances surrounding Liam's death continue as authorities work to determine what happened in the moments before he plunged 45ft to his death suffering catastrophic injuries. Reports have suggested that he was seen acting erratically in the hotel lobby just minutes before he died as he smashed up his laptop and told a fellow guest "I used to be in a boyband. That's why I'm so f**ked up."

There was also an array of alcohol and drug paraphernalia found in his room which Police say had been "in complete disarray" with "various items broken". A whiskey bottle, lighter and mobile phone had been retrieved from the internal hotel courtyard where Liam’s body was found.
