Former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos is reportedly preparing to make a big return to the world of mainstream showbiz and appear on this year's series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

It's thought the self-proclaimed Female Boss, 36, is ready to make a big TV comeback in the wake of her band N-Dubz successfully selling out a UK tour last year. It's reported ITV are keen to get Tulisa to sign on for a stint Down Under in a bid to appeal to a younger audience, who have discovered the singer via TikTok.

Tulisa, alongside her cousin Dappy and pal Fazer, boasts two platinum albums, two gold albums, five MOBO awards, a Brit Award nod, thirteen top 40 hits, six silver singles, and three Urban Music Awards to her name. She became an X Factor judge in 2011 and released her first solo single the following year.

Discussing Tulisa becoming I'm A Celebrity 2024 campmate, a source said: "Tulisa has been on ITV's hit list for a while but until now she's never wanted to consider it. This year is a decade since she left The X Factor so she felt the time was right to return to the TV spotlight - the amazing reception to the N-Dubz reunion tour really helped build her confidence."

"Crucially for ITV, the breadth of her career means that she will appeal to I'm a Celebrity's wide audience," the source added to The Sun. "As well as everyone knowing her from The X Factor, her original music fanbase has boomed thanks for the N-Dubz reunion tour. TV bosses are particularly excited by the new wealth of fans in the crucial 16 to 24 age range who have discovered Tulisa and the band through TikTok and everyone hopes the deal is signed soon."

Tulisa was handpicked by media titan Simon Cowell, stepping into Cheryl Tweedy's shoes as a judge for the eighth series of The X Factor. She took her place at the judges' table with Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh, and Nicole Scherzinger. During her two-series tenure, she championed acts like Little Mix, Ella Henderson, and Lucy Spraggan.

Previously, Tulisa had ruled out joining a reality music show but expressed interest in a culinary programme. In 2019, she remarked: "I steer clear of them because it's hard to keep being a credible musician when you start delving into that. Although there are loads that make me go 'that would be so much fun', and Masterchef is definitely one! Because I'm such a huge cook in my spare time."

The Mirror has approached representatives for Tulisa and ITV for comment on this story. A spokesperson for the jungle show maintained to The Sun: "Any names suggested for I'm a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here are speculation."
