Ex-wivesLineker began dating actress and model Danielle Bux, who is 18 years younger than him, a year after parting ways with his first wife, Michelle Cockayne, to whom he was married for two decades. After being paired up on a blind date, he tied the knot with Bux in 2009, but their marriage ended in 2016.
The split was reportedly due to Lineker, a father of four, not wanting to expand his family further. Despite their divorce, they continue to share a strong bond, with the former footballer remaining close to his ex-wife and stepdaughter Ella.
"Danielle and I are best mates," he revealed to the Mirror in 2019. "We still speak three times a day; we text all the time. When she comes to London, she stays with me, and when I go to LA, I see her."
