Emmerdale's Nicola finally exposes evil Tom King as new evidence rumbled

Send Push

fans saw the moment Nicola King had Tom King exposed on Monday night, as she vowed to bring the villain down.

Her eyes were finally opened to his vile behaviour, as her stepson Carl Holliday finally told her about Tom scaring him. Not only that, but it made her realise he was lying about his abuse towards Belle Dingle all along.

Nicola had been won over by her manipulative nephew Tom for months, after he claimed Belle's allegations of domestic violence were false. With Belle's mental health spiralling recently, with her now seeking help in a secure unit, Tom continued to claim that Belle was making everything up.

While most of her family and village residents believe her, there's still a group of villagers on Tom's side, believing Belle's claims are a result of her spiralling mental health. Belle's lack of evidence to support her allegations has left her in turmoil, especially with Tom repeatedly taunting her and her now facing prison for attacking him.

But one of Tom's loyal supporters did a U-turn on Monday, finally working out the truth. Nicola had noticed Carl seemed to be scared of Tom, and was avoiding him while also claiming to feel unwell.

Convinced it was linked to Tom she sat Carl down and asked for the truth, and she was mortified when Carl finally told her everything. Fans recently saw Tom threaten Carl after he stole his iPad.

It was the same iPad the police were looking for, with Belle convinced it contained evidence of him spying on her and possibly abusing her. Carl had taken it to play games on it, and when Tom screamed at him over this Carl stayed silent about what he knew.

Carl then watched as Tom smashed the tablet to pieces to get rid of the evidence. Carl told Nicola all of this on Monday night, about what happened to the tablet and what happened with Tom.

It was enough to make Nicola realise the truth and likely believe Belle. But it also led to the discovery of new evidence, in that Carl can place the missing iPad in Tom's possession and he knows he destroyed it. Not only that but he had a rough idea of what was on it before it was broken, as he saw Tom swiping past images of Belle.

So will this be crucial in bringing down Tom, and is this the evidence needed to help Belle? As Nicola confronted him in front of her dad Rodney Blackstock and her husband, Tom's uncle, Jimmy King, things got tense.

She told Jimmy exactly what Carl had said and about the tablet, and what happened to it. She also revealed Tom had screamed at Carl, with Tom replying: "None of this happened. I don't know what’s going on."

When he admitted about finding the tablet, he claimed he was going to take it to the police but seemed to suggest it went missing again. Nicola then asked him: "Explain how Carl saw you with it in the garden looking at pictures of Belle, before smashing it to bits.

"Because that doesn’t scream innocent to me." Tom stayed silent at this as Jimmy looked alarmed with the episode ending there, but has the truth finally come out?
