Coronation Street Joel's final moments revealed in trailer as two suspects 'ruled out'

Send Push

A new trailer teasing a killer reveal has revealed murdered Joel Deering's final moments.

Joel is shown fearing for his life on some railway tracks after being attacked in a new clip by the show, with a mystery person heading towards him. With two new suspects in the frame too, a series of flashbacks, as teased in the trailer, will finally reveal what happened the night Joel died.

All the suspects involved will feature in full flashbacks, revealing where everyone was and what run-ins they may have had with Joel before his brutal death. We will also see who dealt the fatal blow that killed Joel, and who is now a killer on the soap.

Lauren Bolton and Max Turner have been added to the suspect wall, teasing one of them may have murdered villain Joel that night. With this big reveal sees one character seemingly ruled out as the killer, as their real actions are revealed.

Carla Connor was previously seen heading out in the dark of night, only to be disturbed by a noise. But in a new flashback clip airing next week, we see Carla call out and it's Max and Lauren who she's heard.

It seems Carla did not come face-to-face with Joel in that case, and she likely did not kill him. Another suspect thought to be ruled out is his ex Dee-Dee Bailey.

Given Dee-Dee confesses to murder on Monday, claiming she attacked Joel, it seems she might not be the actual killer. Joel sustained two blows to the head, and on Friday we find out who really killed him - so this massively hints it isn't her.

With her confessing to detective Kit Green days before the big reveal, surely this is a red herring and Dee-Dee is in the clear? After all she insisted Joel was alive when she left him, so who did murder him?

The remaining suspects, if it's one of the characters in the picture, are Lauren, Max, Ed Bailey, Ronnie Bailey, Mason Radcliffe, DS Lisa Swain and even Kit. Whether it will actually be someone in the picture remains to be seen.

Friday's episode will show us the night in full and the full flashbacks for the first time. We will see Joel's final movements before his death, as well as the movements of all of the suspects.

Finally we will see who attacked him, who he faced that night and who went on to kill him. Viewers will have to watch next week to find out what happened to Joel!
