Chelsea player ratings vs Djurgarden with Tyrique George masterclass but one star disappoints

Send Push

Chelsea are through to the Conference League final after a narrow second leg victory - an aggregate win of 5-1 - against Djurgarden at Stamford Bridge.

It was a very low-key first half up until 38 minutes when a moment of brilliance from Tyrique George saw the youngster set Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall up. The midfielder bagged his fourth goal of the season in this competition.

The second-half was also fairly non-eventful although the Blues did have a couple of chances to extend their advantage. But they did not need to get out of first gear on the night - and in truth, they have not had to throughout the competition.

Below, Bobby Vincent rates the Chelsea players out of 10 based on their performance.

Filip Jorgensen - Caught a couple of shots. Had one good save but then it was ruled offside anyway so it wouldn't have counted anyway. Simple night for the Swedish-born Denmark international. 6.

Malo Gusto - Struggled in possession. Just looks awfully out of form at the moment. Did improve in the second period slightly. 5.

Tosin Adarabioyo - Did well on 30 minutes to prevent a dangerous counter-attack. Solid at the back but was not tested too much. 6.

Benoit Badiashile - Won his battles in the air but was not tested a whole lot. One of the easiest 90 minutes he will have in his career probably. 6.

Marc Cucurella - Played in midfield which caught a few off guard. Did okay. Off at half-time with the weekend in mind, one would assume. 6.

Josh Acheampong - Used at left-back. Lively. He pops up in attacking positions much more often than you might imagine. An impressive young footballer - one who has benefitted enormously from Chelsea's Conference League run. 7.

Reece James - Plenty of the ball in the middle of the park. I spent some time watching him, and just him, in the second-half and it is fascinating to see how much he scans the pitch just before he receives the ball. He knows where everyone is at all times, it seems. 6.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - Took his goal really well. He has flourished in this competition and has quietly improved in recent matches. His fourth goal of the season from a really calm and composed finish. 8.

Reggie Walsh - An unbelievable night for the 16-years-old, who became the third youngest player to start a senior game for Chelsea. Very comfortable in possession, you could see that early on. Two-footed. Didn't look fazed. 7.

Jadon Sancho - Bright. Always wanting to run at the full-back. Brought off at half-time. 6.

Tyrique George - Some nice touches. Looked one of the more threatening players in an attacking sense. Nice run on 28 minutes that ended with his shot being blocked. Moment of magic to set Dewsbury-Hall up. 8.

SUBS

Shim Mheuka (on for Cucurella 46') - On at the break for Cucurella. His hold-up play is impressive. Chelsea could not get him in behind the defence at all, though. 6.

Genesis Antwi (on for Sancho 70') - On with 20 minutes to go. Really nice moment to set Acheampong up not long after coming on. Nice for him to get some minutes. 6.

Trevoh Chalobah (on for James 70') - Came on alongside Antwi. Helped see the game out and secure the clean sheet for the Blues. 6.
