After his triumph on MasterChef, Wynne Evans was probably hoping he'd be able to dance his way to another reality TV final.

But according to recent odds by Ladbrokes, his chances of gaining a position in the final appear to be a far cry. The betting giant have revealed that Wynne's odds of holding up the Glitterball Trophy have been slashed from 50/1 to just 33/1, placing him now in the bottom three along with Nick Knowles and Paul Merson.

However, one name that has now been tipped to be a favourite to win is in fact JLS star JB Gill. at 7/2. Behind him is former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri at 4/1 closely followed by actor Shayne Ward with 5/1. Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "JB Gill is the one to Beat Again, according to the latest odds... we wouldn't be surprised if he keeps hold of top spot in the betting for some time."

Wynne, 52, became a household name across the nation as the face of the memorable Go Compare adverts. In a recent interview he cast doubt over how well he'd be able to perform on the BBC show. He said: "I'm not entirely sure how I'll get along, if all else fails I'll just have to learn the art of distraction. I'm definitely going to try and combine my love of Opera into one of my routines. Plus, after winning Celebrity MasterChef last year, maybe the route to the judges' hearts will be through their stomachs!"

Wynne has become a firm favourite among viewers but away from the cameras, his life couldn't have been more different, following the breakdown of his marriage and being targeted by online trolls. He told WalesOnline at that time, it was the "worst depression" he had experienced. This then resulted in him gaining weight, to the point where he was 23.6 stone.

He explained: "I was doing a daily radio show where the feel of it is upbeat and keeping people in a good mood and cheering up the nation. The strapline of my show is, 'cheering Wales up by one o'clock,' but I was going through the worst depression, clinical depression... I couldn't see a way out; I couldn't see a way of ever being happy again."

He also suffered from anxiety which would trigger stage fright in him. But after visiting a psychiatrist he was put on anti-depressants and embarked on a healthy eating plan. On the back of that, she managed to drop 5.5 stone in weight within months.

He continued: "I'm much kinder, much more patient, I try and live every day to the fullest and really enjoy myself. I started to rebuild my life and that's where I am today - I do a show every day, I've got my own TV series in Wales, and it's great. If I could freeze life and keep it going like it is now, I would do that."
