Arsenal land 'next Jude Bellingham' ahead of Man City and Tottenham thanks to incredible gesture

Arsenal have reportedly landed the 'next Jude Bellingham', Kyran Thompson, after offering him a lucrative scholarship at a private school in Enfield.

According to the , 15-year-old midfielder Thompson turned heads after impressing with the West Ham academy. This led to , and entering the race to poach him but affiliation with St John's Senior School managed to win the race.

The £17,500 per year boarding fees at St John's will be paid for by the Gunners and this is believed to be catching the eye of the parents of the stars of the future. The school has earned a reputation for nurturing the talents of youngsters looking to make it in professional football.

Students spend three days per week after lunch on the training ground practising their talents while also maintaining their academic responsibilities. This balance has already begun to pay dividends.

In their most recent GCSE results, 70 per cent of students received Grades 9-7, formerly known as A* and A grades. Meanwhile the youngsters are excelling for their teams too.

, who scored a brilliant goal for the Gunners at Preston North End in midweek, is one of the school's alumni's and is showing how pupils can benefit from the Full-Time Training Module (FTTM) programme. It must be noted that Arsenal also paid £1.1m for Thompson to lure him away from West Ham but that could prove to be a miniscule fee if he reaches the heights of Bellingham.

The FTTM programme is by no means unique to Arsenal. City, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton and Hove Albion offer similar schemes to try and snap up the next big name.
