Arne Slot set a Liverpool record in the Reds' win over Bologna in the Champions League.
Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah ensured that Liverpool continued their winning start to Champions League action - they also defeated AC Milan - as Slot took charge of his first European night at Anfield. In doing so, they also secured the boss' eighth win in nine matches.
Slot has enjoyed a positive start since arriving on Merseyside to replace Jurgen Klopp and has now started strong than any manager in Liverpool history. Though, the Dutchman did not find much to be happy about despite the victory.
“Not many things to be delighted with," Slot said, "apart from both goals, especially the second one. Great ball from Virgil [Van Dijk], great attack, great run from Trent Alexander-Arnold. It is always difficult to play a team takes that much risk.

“It wasn't an easy one, in my opinion Bologna made it difficult - similar to Atalanta, man-mark all over the pitch. Wait for the right moment if you play through completely open - it was many times. The last pass could have been better."
It was also a record-breaking night for Salah. The Egyptian set a number of feats against the Italian opposition.
The veteran winger has now score more goals than any other African player, became the first Liverpool player to score in five consecutive Champions League matches at Anfield and became the first player to score and assist in nine Champions League games for an English club.
Slot was matter-of-fact in his assessment of Salah's achievements but also wanted to spread the praise throughout his steam. What can I say about Mo?" the 46-year-old said.
"What you saw today is what you get. If you bring him often enough in positions like this, he can score a goal. He had a great assist as well.
"I think the second [goal], if you look at the way he scored it I can understand everybody is talking about the finish because it was a fantastic finish. He had almost the same one just before, but it wouldn’t do justice to Virgil [van Dijk], to Diogo [Jota], to Dom [Szoboszlai] and to Trent [Alexander-Arnold] if we only talk about the great finish because Virgil played a fantastic ball through, Diogo dropped, turned, Dom was again involved – he was involved in the first goal as well – and Trent made a crucial overlapping run because that opened up the space on the inside for Mo to do what Mo always does.
