Dr Julian De Silva, who practises in London, has used the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty to determine his top 10 list. The Golden Ratio is a mathematical equation developed by Greeks to measure how beautiful someone is. The theory is the closer the ratios of a face or body are to the number 1.618 (Phi), the more beauty they possess.
The Golden Ratio was used in Leonardo's famous work the Vitruvian Man, in his quest for the perfect human male body. Now, Dr De Silva, who runs the Centre for Advanced Facial Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, has applied it to and the man tipped to take over from as the next James Bond has come out on top.
Here, we take a look at the 10 most handsome celebrity males, according to the theory.

has a near-perfect score of 93.04 per cent. "Aaron was the clear winner when all elements of the face were measured for physical perfection," the surgeon "His 93.04 per cent score would easily make him the most handsome James Bond in the history if he does land the role as expected.
"He is well ahead of all the James Bond actors - Sean Connery in second place with 89.2%, with Roger Moore in third on 88.8% and Daniel Craig in last place - behind George Lazenby - on 84.2%."
Aaron's face shape scored 99.2 per cent in the ratio, with most of his features scoring highly - at 98.8 per cent, the width and length of his nose were "near perfect". The scores dipping below 90 per cent for the star were his eye spacing, the gap between his nose and lip and his lips.
Second was another British actor - Emily In Paris's Lucien Laviscount, who scored 92.41 per cent. The length and width of his face and his "beautifully shaped lips" scored most highly.
Third most handsome was Gladiator II star Paul Mescal while Robert Patterson and Jack Lowden made up the top five.
George Clooney came in sixth, with Dr De Silva praising his "natural good looks". "George Clooney is easily the oldest star on the list but he remains a stunningly attractive man with classical features in great proportion," he said.
"There has been a loss of volume in his face and, inevitably, some sagging around the eyes. To still make the top ten at 63 is remarkable and is testament to his incredible natural good looks."
While the surgeon's list is very much light hearted, he says his new computer mapping techniques come in handy when it comes to planning surgery for his patients. His full results read as follows:
